Deb Paterson is a passionate wildlife and nature photographer living in the beautiful Comox Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Although Deb was born in a city, she is far more comfortable in the wide open spaces where the animals roam free. For 40 years she worked in the financial world. She took her own advice as a Financial Planner and Estate/Trust Specialist to retire comfortably. Now, she spends as much time as possible either travelling or taking photographs of the abundant wildlife on Vancouver Island and the BC coast. She feels very fortunate to live in an area so rich in wildlife and incredibly beautiful scenery and to be able to travel to capture animals in their natural habitats.

Deb's avid interest in photography began with her first safari to Africa in 2008. She was so amazed by the incredible birds and wildlife of Tanzania, that it prompted her to write and publish a book entitled "Don't Pet the Animals". A second book hangs in the balance.

Her spouse, Bruce joins Deb in her passion for nature and wildlife and is a fabulous spotter. They make a terrific team!
